History of Northeast Sales Distributing

Northeast Sales Distributing was incorporated in 1957 as a wholesale beer and wine distributor in Athens, Georgia. The company was founded by Frank Sinkwich Sr., a famous athlete who won the Heisman Trophy at the University of Georgia. Frank Sinkwich Sr. had the idea to build and expand the company to include a state-wide serving area and become the premier distributor of fine wines, spirits, and domestic, imported, and craft beers.

Today, Northeast Sales Distributing has two warehouses that serve the northeast metro Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, Gainesville, and the Savannah area, up to the South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee state lines. They recently celebrated their 65th anniversary and are very much devoted to continuing their excellent service and being an excellent place of employment. Northeast Sales Distributing employs more than 250 people, all experienced in the alcohol distributing business.

The company works with the three-tier system, meaning they don’t sell directly to consumers but work with licensed retailers. The company’s product portfolio is impressive, including hundreds of award-winning brands from all over the world. The product portfolio includes cider, craft beer, domestic beer, imported beer, malt-based coolers, wines, spirits, non-alcoholic beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
