Vietnam’s prime minister has approved a plan to sell a majority stake in brewer Sabeco, which would move the state-controlled brewer one step closer to a long-awaited sale to private ownership.
Vietnam has one of the world’s most attractive and lucrative beer markets and also the largest in Southeast Asia. Primarily fueled by a young population that last year consumed almost 4 billion liters of the beverage.
