An environmentally-friendly wine bottle has created an impactful advancement in the wine industry, as well as wine packaging as a whole. The newly created wine bottle is flat compared to circular-shaped bottles, made from recycled plastic, and “87% lighter than a normal wine bottle,” according to Forbes.
The bottle design is lighter, requires less shelving space, and is cheaper to deliver due to no risk of breakage. Compared to the traditional wine bottle, the flat-shaped bottle cuts emissions by 60% in regards to transportation.
