The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) released the Beer Purchasers’ Index for October 2018. The index for imports continues to indicate expanding volumes with an October index at 72.8 compared to 62.5 in October 2017. The craft beer index is at 48.3, and premium lights, premium regulars and below premiums are all showing low readings of below 50 compared to last year. The cider segments has increased to 54.3 index on October 2018, a large increment from the 32.9 reading in October 2017.
