Integrated Beverage Group (IBG), maker of Rascal, Lifevine and Duck Pond Cellars wine brands, branched into craft spirits with the acquisition of Oregon’s Ransom Wine Co. & Distillery. The acquisition includes Ransom’s portfolio of wines, vermouths, and spirits, as well as its McMinnville tasting room. The terms of the deal were not released.
Ransom Founder Tad Seestedt has agreed to stay on with IBG as the master distiller, noting that this transaction allows him to focus on the production aspect of Ransom’s bands.
