French alcoholic beverage group Pernod Ricard Monday said it has started exclusive talks to buy Le Maine au Bois SAS, a French cognac maker fully owned by Pierre-Hubert Lassalle.
In a regulatory filing with the Paris stock regulator, Pernod Ricard said it would merge Le Maine au Bois with Ricard’s Martell & Co. The company declined to give any financial details of the operation.
Mr. Lassalle declined to give any further details when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires via telephone.
