According to a recent Brewers Association (BA) report, the number of U.S. breweries is forecasted to expand to 9,200 in just the next two years.
There are currently more than 7,600 breweries in the U.S. today. That would be an increase of over 25 percent in just 24 months. BA chief economist Bart Watson predicts the number to fall between 1,900 and 2,400 openings based on BA’s brewery database and TTB permit data.
