Millennials are leading the wine industry in becoming more transparent, international and sustainable. Consumers, particularly, the millennials, are on the look-out for local and organic wines. Although organic wines might only account for 3.6 percent of the total wine category, it happens to be on the rise. Millennials are not only attracted to the health and wellness, but they are seeking wines on a global level. They are drinking wines from countries such as Portugal, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Hungary, to name a few. The world of wine is changing slowly but surely, with the help of the younger generation.
