The company is located in Richmond, operating out of a temperature-controlled 23,000-square-foot warehouse where all their wine is received, stored, and distributed via delivery trucks over the state of Virginia.
The History
The Robins Cellars were founded by E. Claiborne Robins Jr. He was born and raised in Virginia, but through the family’s pharmaceutical business, he went to travel all over the world. During his travels, he learned how important and integral wine was in many societies, and he developed a deep appreciation for wine.
When he came back to the USA, he saw an opportunity to create opportunities for small, family-owned wineries to bring their products to Virginian wine consumers. Thus, he founded The Robins Cellars in 1990.
Today, over thirty years later, the company remains true to the founding principles of being dedicated to the small family winery and the art of finely crafted wines. The company’s seat and warehouse are in Richmond, where they receive all the wine shipments store and distribute them statewide.
The product portfolio is vast, with over 1000 products, ensuring their customers will get excellent products and impeccable service. The Robins Cellars employ wine specialists located all over the state, so any wine lover can find and consult them if you have any questions about the products or wish to make a particular order.
Also, The Robins Cellars, through the Robins Foundation, is a vital benefactor in the Richmond area and the entire state of Virginia. The company and the foundation make regular donations and give back to the community they are a part of.
