The History of Oak Beverages

Oak Beverages was established by Hap Boening, the CEO of Boeing Brothers, in 1980, as a beer distributor operating in the northern counties in the NY metro area. In 2000, Debra Boening, the daughter of Hap Boening, took over as CEO and company president of Oak Beverages.

She expanded the service area and products, and Oak Beverages now serves a much wider area than the founder intended. Oak Beverages now employs 220 people and operates out of three warehouses with a fleet of 42 delivery trucks. The company has kept the initial company mission of being a model beer distributor in the industry and is working to exceed its own standards of performance and surpass the customers’ expectations.

Oak Beverages has a philosophy of always putting the client’s needs first, working with respect and dignity, always being flexible towards the client’s wishes, and promoting a teamwork working atmosphere that includes all the members of the company.

Because Oak Beverages serves New York, which is a diverse and dynamic market, Oak Beverages works tirelessly to keep in step with the market demands. They don’t sell to the general public but only to licensed alcohol sellers, including restaurants, bars, taverns, clubs, wine and liquor stores, and licensed retail stores.

The company has a very extensive product portfolio, including local beers, craft beers, imported beers, non-alcoholic beer, organic beer, hard cider, malt alternatives, wine, spirits, coffee, and sodas.

Some of them are Brooklyn Brewery, Anchor Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Guinness, Warsteiner, Magic Hat, Molson Coors, New Holland Brewing, Smirnoff, and Sapporo, among others. Oak Beverages has won awards as a woman-owned business with superlative business performance and growth.
