The History

In 1945, Mr. Jose Villanueva and his wife Celia Barragan established a Liquor distillery in Veracruz, Mexico called “Licores Veracruz S.A de C.V.” In 1970, the four children of Villanueva-Barragan, Jose, Maricela, Mario, and Celice Villanueva joined the family business.

In 1989, Celia Villanueva married Michael F. Maestri and moved to Houston, Texas. She established Mexcor International, importing Mexican brands to the USA. The company welcomed Eduardo Morales in 2000, expanding the business, and soon after, they were assigned to become the distributors of Frank-Lin Distillers across the state of Texas.

In 2009, the owners established the Casa Maestri Distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, and other members of the Villanueva family joined the business. In 2014, Mexcor International set up distribution networks in Texas, California, and Florida and sold their products to 46 US States, and in 2015, Eduardo Morales acquired the rest of the family ownership, becoming the sole owner of Mexcor International.

The company was founded on the principles of hard work and dedication. Passed down through three generations of family, Mexcor has had unmatched growth over the past two decades and continues to grow and expand its services. Today, MEXCOR has distribution facilities and logistics centers in Texas, California, Florida & Louisiana – with a nationwide distribution network reaching all 50 states in the US.
