Company History and Facts on Marsala Beverage

Budco Distributing was founded in 1952 as a small-time beer distributor with only six employees, and they delivered over 50,000 cases of Anheuser-Busch products to the people of northeast Louisiana. Budco Distributing continued to operate and employed Charles Marsala as a warehouse worker in 1971.

Charles became a route salesman and a supervisor and rose to the rank of general manager of the company. In 1992, Charles Marsala entered a limited partnership with Anheuser-Busch, purchasing the license and the company. By 2000, the rest of the shares of Budco Distributing were purchased by the other members of the Marsala family: Charles and Brenda Marsala, Damon Marsala, and Mandy Marsala Pruitt.

The company was renamed Marsala Beverage and is now headquartered in Monroe, LA. They also have a warehouse in Ferriday, LA, and have over 100 employees; they cooperate with over 800 licensed retailers.

The Marsala Beverage services the following parishes in northeast Louisiana, Lincoln Parish, Jackson Parish, Ouachita Parish, Union Parish, Morehouse Parish, Richland Parish, Caldwell Parish, LaSalle Parish, West Carroll Parish, East Carroll Parish, Madison Parish, Tensas Parish, Catahoula Parish, Franklin Parish, and Concordia Parish.

Their product portfolio includes all the Anheuser-Busch products, craft beer brands, flavored malt beverages, imported brands, and non-alcoholic beverages like water, teas, energy drinks, milk, and juice mixers.
