The History of the Manhattan Beer Distributor Company

Manhattan Beer Distributors has started as a small-time distributor of Carling Black Label and Tuborg back in 1978. This was due to the efforts of Simon Bergson, who started his business, establishing the Manhattan Beer Distributors.

He started from a small 4,000 square foot warehouse and three delivery trucks, growing to a successful venture with over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space in several distributive centers.

The company has a delivery fleet of over 500 trucks. 30 of these are re-powered to run on compressed natural gas, improving the carbon footprint and reducing pollution. Due to their location, they can receive much of the products they trade via rail transport.

This further reduces the carbon footprint and pollution, helping the environment and helping decongest the already busy streets of New York. Add to this the solar panel roof on the corporate headquarters, the company is producing much of the electric energy it consumes.
