Market research firm IRI reported that year-to-date beer category dollar sales in off-premise retailers have increased to nearly $19.5 billion, growing by 3.5%. IRI data shows that imports have increased by 5.9%, flavored malt beverages by 27.7%, and domestic super premiums by 12.6%. In the four weeks ending July 14, category-wide sales surpassed $3.4 billion and grew by 5.7% while flavored malt beverage sales increased 38.2%. Flavored malt beverage dollar sales reached nearly $1.9 billion. Dollar sales of craft beer reached over $2.2 billion and are up 2.9%.
