A new product from Syphon, which launched on Kickstarter is designed to extend the life of your red wines. It is a bottle top device that uses argon to make your wine last longer.
As soon as you uncork a bottle of red wine the liquid begins to react with oxygen, which affects its taste. In some cases as quickly as 24 hours. Argon, meanwhile, is an inert gas that is already used by winemakers for preservation in the bottling process. The new product plugs into the spout of the bottle and when you squeeze the level it injects argon while simultaneously releasing the oxygen. Using the device will extend the life of your bottle of wine for up to 30 days.
