Whiskey continues to do well at on premise stores

Whiskey continues to outperform the spirits category averages according to the latest Nielsen CGA data. Whiskey saw value growth of 4 percent compared to total spirits growth of 3.2 percent. Drilling down further, Bourbon and Irish Whiskey had the best growth in the Whiskey category with 5.6 percent and 14.3 percent growth, respectively. For on premise locations Whiskey sales equate to just under $50k for the average bar, followed closely by Vodka.
