Walmart and its wholesale arm, Sam’s Club, will explore delivery options by utilizing Uber and Lyft’s
operations. The initial test will start with a free service in Denver and Phoenix. Uber will be used in one
city and Lyft will be in the other. Once an order is placed, Walmart will inform Uber and Lyft to pick up
and deliver to customers.
A few months ago, Walmart ran a similar program through Deliv, a parcel delivery service, in Miami. If all
goes as planned, Walmart will implement this setup to its existing curbside pickup.
