Brown-Forman will sell its brands Southern Comfort and Tuaca to Sazerac for $544 million. Southern Comfort and Tuaca have been marketed in the Brown-Forman portfolio since 1979 and 2002, respectively.
The transaction anticipates closing on March 1st and advising was done by Goldman Sachs and Dunn & Crutcher. Sazerac is one of the oldest, family owned, privately held companies that is headquartered in New Orleans.
